Rwanda News Update

Construction Complete!
We recently received word from Rwanda that Drocella's house has been completed and a celebration ceremony was held on Friday, August 28, which was attended by many religious leaders of various denominations as well as the local authorities and many neighbors.
Laban and our other friends in Rwanda are looking forward to our next visit to their country. We are tentatively planning on returning with a larger group of people in the summer of 2011. Begin praying for this possibility.
We have also received the master proposal for the various ministries of their association. There are five projects that they are focusing on:
1. Livestock Project
2. HIV/AIDS Project
3. Micro-Finance Project
4. Education Project
5. Boat Project
The total cost of funding these projects is over 3 million dollars. We will likely begin by helping to support the Boat Project, which will cost approximately $10,000. This project will help the people of Nkombo Island in many ways so that they can be more self-sustaining. We also gave them some assistance in 2008 after an earthquake devastated their area and Blair, Tony and I were able to visit them during our trip.
Keep watching for more information about Rwanda and ways we can partner with them in ministry. And, please keep praying for our friends in Rwanda. They are praying for us.
